I have revamped page 9 and it looks GREAT! I guess I was just having a non-crafty week when I started working on page 9, but... it has been raining and I have been flaring... I seem to do my best work when I am in a lot of pain and not doing well. Like someone told me... spoken like a true artist! LOL!
On this page I used my NEW Sentimentals cartridge! WOOOHOO!! I used one of the frames from the cart. I also used my "homemade nestibilities" technique on the frame. You see those dark brown spots on the frame? That is embossed. I cut out the layer for the frame in chipboard and then I lined the frame and the frame layer that was cut out of chipboard up and ran them thru my CuttleBug. I wanted the embossed areas to show more so I ran my distress ink tool over the tops of the embossed areas.
I also used Sentimentals for my tag. Pretty nice tag cut! I printed out an old vintage peacock label and cut it out and distress inked it and then added it to my tag. I did try to cut the tag out with the peacock printed on it, but the peacock was too big and did not show in the frame hole like I wanted. So... I had to do it the way I have it now.
I wanted something in the bottom left corner of the page. Iwas going to cut out a bird and put it on a branch and have the branch stem across the bottom of the page, but... I just could not get my bird to look like I wanted LOL! I think I was wanting too much from that little birdy on the Home Decor cart. SO... I remembered I downloaded a vintage bird image that was a circle. So... I resized it and printed it and cut it out and then pop dotted it on to a piece of circle cardstock and pop dotted that as well.
I just LOVE the frame on this page! It came out looking better than I imagined. I was going to dry brush antique gold acrylic paint on the frame, but I forgot to. I might do it later, not sure.
Well... here is The REAL Page 9!

This is just awesome!! I need you to teach me how to make a vintage card. I love your work.

Jooniper, I found my acetate at Michaels. It comes in a 8-1/2x11" pack. I think it was in the isle where they have the recollections paper packs.
